Filler Management

 

 
 

 

The Filtec Filler Management System (FMS) is used to maximize filler performance, reduce product loss, minimize maintenance related downtime and increase production line efficiency.

 

It is equivalent to adding several extra employees on your production line to monitor filler performance and product quality.

 

These precision devices make it easier to comply with regulatory content standards.

 

The Filtec Filler Management Systems are available with either GAMMA or X-RAY sources, both providing reliable inspection with different benefits to each system.

 

Each system consists of a stainless steel electronic cabinet (wall or floor mounted), an operator interface in a stainless steel housing and an inspection head with either an x-ray or gamma source.

FT-100 B Gamma Filler Management for Bottles

 

 
 

 

 

 

 

The benefits of using system this include:

 
  • greatly reduced underfills and overfills on production line due to advanced warning of faulty filler valves (without actually stopping the filler), therefore leading to less production line downtime

  • histograms show the actual filling characteristics of each valve on the filler which can later be used as diagnostic indicators for valve repair

  • gives average fill level performance for the entire filler which can be used for Quality Assurance monitoring

  • reduced consumer complaints and product liability

 

Standard features include:

  • both underfill and overfill can be inspected at the same time with the RF fill level inspection system and faulty containers can be rejected at a downstream station

  • real time monitoring and recording of filling and capping functions allow maximum production efficiency to be achieved at the lowest possible cost

  • a portable LCD color touchscreen which gives the operator full control of the system

  • fill level monitoring is available using x-ray or gamma inspection systems

 

Optional features include:

  • missing and high/cocked cap inspection

  • low foam/high air detection

  • serial interface

  • production efficiency monitoring which shows the overall production line efficiency for an entire shift

  • burst bottle detection and rejection with automatic filler tube flush controls

  • underfill or overfill inspection and quantitative analysis using only one x-ray source and one detector

  • tracking options: ET-2 (encode tracking) and Magsync (tracking and synchronization of bottles with ferrous metal crowns)

  • a portable LCD color touchscreen which gives the operator full control of the system

 

Optional features include:

  • inspects metal, plastic and glass containers (requires evaluation)

  • simple, easy to use touch screen control

  • precise inspection of every container — filling history of all valves, long term filler average and individual valve histograms
